One of the highlights on Melbourne’s sporting calendar, Super Saturday at Flemington

Racecourse on Saturday 7 March, promises to be an exciting day out for racegoers of all

ages, with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) unveiling a mix of elite racing, live music,

entertainment, fashion, exceptional food and family-friendly experiences.

Australian rock icon Jon Stevens will bring his powerhouse vocals and a catalogue of chart-

topping anthems to the Front Lawn, delivering an electrifying live performance packed with

singalong favourites. From Noiseworks classics such as Take Me Back and Touch, to his era

fronting INXS performing hits like Need You Tonight and Never Tear Us Apart, racegoers can

expect a high-energy set.

The Wiggles Sound System - featuring John, Caterina, Tree of Wisdom, Wags and Dorothy

- will add to the family-friendly atmosphere with their much-loved energy in a special

performance guaranteed to have racegoers of all ages on their feet.

“The Wiggles Sound System is a special show we created to cater to all ages, and we’re

looking forward to showcasing it on March 7th.” said Caterina (The Red Wiggle).

Families can also enjoy a host of kid-friendly activities throughout the day, from interactive

entertainment and hands-on creative zones to face painting, roaming performers, and Pony

Putt Mini Golf, ensuring there’s plenty to keep younger racegoers smiling while parents soak

up the action.

Beyond the track and stage, the VRC has partnered with the iconic Queen Victoria Market

to deliver a vibrant festival of flavours across the racecourse. Racegoers can indulge in bold

Filipino street food from Manila Boy BBQ & Grill, savour Asian fusion favourites from Lui

Boss, enjoy the rich flavours of Drums Street Food, tuck into crowd-pleasing bites from Ink-

Credible Calamari and sample handmade delights from The Li’l Dumpling Van.

The popular Pony Picnic will also return, featuring hampers curated by local business, The

Happy Apple.

The Group 1 $2 million All-Star Mile (1600m) also returns to Super Saturday, with an online

competition now open to win the chance to “Own The Mile”. Sixteen winners will be allocated

an All-Star Mile runner, enjoy VIP access to the Mounting Yard, and share in $200,000, with

$100,000 awarded if their horse wins the race.

Adding even more colour to the day, Fashions on the Field will take place on Super Saturday,

inviting racegoers to showcase their autumn style in a celebration of creativity, individuality

and seasonal elegance. This year’s competition brings a refreshed fashion focus to the heart

of the Flemington lawns, with stylish racegoers, families and millinery lovers all encouraged to

take part.

The categories include Family Racewear, Best Dressed, Best Suited and the People’s

Choice Millinery Award, with a prize pool of more than $15,000 on offer.

Super Saturday headlines an exciting Autumn Carnival at Flemington, featuring three

unmissable Group 1 race days. The carnival begins with Australian Guineas Day on

Saturday 28 February, where Lunar New Year will be celebrated in colourful style with a

Prosperity Garden and Year of the Horse photobooth. The carnival concludes with TAB

Australian Cup Day on Saturday 28 March.

Across all three race days, racegoers can expect world-class racing, incredible live

entertainment and standout food experiences, creating an unforgettable autumn carnival at

Flemington.

The VRC is proud to partner with the Good Friday Appeal as the official charity partner of the

Flemington Autumn Carnival. Throughout the carnival, racegoers will have the opportunity to

support the Appeal’s vital work in helping The Royal Children’s Hospital deliver world‐class

care to children and families. The partnership will be celebrated across all three race days,

reinforcing the VRC’s commitment to giving back to the community.

VRC Chief Executive Officer Kylie Rogers said the Flemington Autumn Carnival offers the

perfect mix of racing and entertainment for all ages.

“The Flemington Autumn Carnival brings together everything that makes our race days so

special, including world‐class Group 1 racing, live entertainment, outstanding food

experiences and the return of autumn Fashions on the Field.

“Super Saturday has always been a highlight of our Autumn Carnival, and with two Group 1

races on the program, plus an epic entertainment line-up of Jon Stevens and The Wiggles DJ

Set, the excitement on course will be unmatched.

“It’s a celebration of sport, style and culture, and we’re thrilled to offer racegoers an

unforgettable month at Flemington.”
